Stepping inside, the color-blocked lobby is expansive for a property with only 40 rooms and two suites: It extends an entire city block with a receptionist, concierge, and tour desk on one side of the bank of elevators, and a bar and restaurant on the other. Check-in is warm, friendly and efficientthe welcome highly enthusiastic.

On a Saturday afternoon, when formal classes arent in session, there are no obvious signs that Hotel ITHQ is a teaching hotel embedded within the Institut de tourisme et dhtellerie du Qubec (Quebec Institute of Tourism & Hotel Management) in Montreal. (Even our Uber driver with more than 5,000 rides didn't know it was there.)
