PSINet Inc. Announces In-Room Internet Pilot With Holiday Inn Worldwide

HERNDON, VA, AUG. 19, 1996 -- PSINet Inc. PSIX In an announcement, PSINet said that it is participating in a local pilot program with Holiday Inn Worldwide to provide in-room Internet access to hotel guests using Bandai Digital Entertainment's new Pippin@World consumer information appliance. The Pippin@World provides complete Internet and World Wide Web access via PSINet's high-speed, state-of-the-art network, as well as useful information about local events, businesses, restaurants and other topics. The program, if successful, could be expanded to other Holiday Inn locations.
