Intrawest Signs Deal With WORLDRES - Reservations and Ski Packages to be Available On-line

SAN MATEO, CA, October 29 --WorldRes, Inc.™, the Internet-based hotel reservation network, has entered into an agreement with Intrawest Corporation, the leading developer and operator of mountain resorts across North America. The agreement will enable Intrawest to generate revenue through the online sale of lodging and ski packages with instant confirmation.

"Coupled with our existing ski relationships, Intrawest solidifies our position as the dominant e-commerce platform for the ski industry," said Scott Potter, vice president of business development for WorldRes. "We couldn't be more pleased to add such a fine roster of resorts to our already extensive network."

Intrawest operates a range of resorts including Whistler/Blackcomb and Panorama in British Columbia, Copper in Colorado, Tremblant and Mont Ste. Marie in Quebec, Stratton in Vermont, Snowshoe in West Virginia and Mammoth in California as well as Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort in Florida.

WorldRes is enhancing its existing Internet-based lodging reservation technology to offer confirmed vacation packages through all of the Intrawest resort web sites. The new technology will allow the resorts to sell packages that combine online lodging inventory with products and services such as lift tickets and other components. Travelers will be able to choose their package and receive an instant confirmation,

revolutionizing the way packages are sold on the Web. Travelers can expect to find most of the resorts' reservation services to be online this year with the remainder to follow early next year.

"Our network of resorts hosted 5.5 million skiers/snowboarders last year. We are pleased to be able to provide our users such a convenient new service," said Ed Pitoniak, Senior Vice President of Intrawest.

"With WorldRes' technology behind us it makes it that much easier for travelers to take advantage of our resort offerings."

This partnership will allow Intrawest to sell packages not only through their web sites, but also through the WorldRes network of distribution partners, including Resort Sports Network (www.rsn.com). RSN resort and travel information is featured on such web sites as Compuserve, Pointcast and GoSki.
