Accor Suitehotel

Paris -- After the opening, in November 1999, of Lille-Airport hotel, Accor is launching its new brand, Suitehotel, on the European market, and today it is inaugurating the first Suitehotel in Paris, near Porte de Montreuil. The Suitehotel Paris-Porte de Montreuil, located in the 20-arrondissement at 22 avenue du Professeur Lemierre, houses 166 suites at 80 euros per night. Suitehotel is a new hotel concept, in the 3 star category, designed to satisfy individual business travellers, who are autonomous, and who are looking for a place where they can relax, work, receive visitors, have meals and welcome their family.

Each suite, with a surface area of 30 m², is multi-purpose, with a relaxation area and a working area that can be isolated using a sliding screen. The suites are equipped with high quality furnishings and offer space, quality, comfort and warmth.

The working area is fitted with a direct telephone line with voice messaging, two telephones, a computer connection and Internet access. The suites are equipped with a microwave oven that enables customers to heat up prepared meals sold in the lobby.

The bathrooms accommodate a bath and a separate large shower.

The multi-functional lobby offers:

  • a bar
  • vending machines for fresh products, with "Une recette Lenôtre" ready-to-eat meals
  • a lounge
  • a breakfast area
  • a business corner containing a desk, a computer with broadband Internet access, a printer and a fax
  • a fitness area

The lobbies is easy to use, open 24 hours, and offers a warm, sociable atmosphere. Suitehotel does not have a restaurant or meeting rooms.

Accor plans to extend the Suitehotel concept throughout Europe by opening 50 hotels over the next 4 years, giving preference to sites with a range of Accor brand hotels . 20 projects are already under way in France, Germany and Austria ; 10 hotels are planned to open in 2001-2002, including Charles de Gaulle-Roissy airport, the World Cup stadium at Saint Denis, Calais Coquelles (the Eurotunnel terminal), Cannes, and Vienna (Austria)…

Other projects are currently being negotiated in the United-Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium and Portugal.
