Country Suites By Carlson opens first co-branded location with sister hotel the Radisson Riverfront Hotel Augusta

A new Country Suites By Carlson, a franchised hotel of the international mid-tier brand Country Inns & Suites By Carlson, has opened in Augusta, Ga., next to its sister hotel, the Radisson Riverfront Hotel Augusta. This is the first time the Minneapolis, Minn.-based sister companies of Carlson Hospitality Worldwide have co-branded. The new Country Suites By Carlson is connected by skyway to the Radisson Augusta Conference Center.

Augusta Riverfront Limited Partnership also added 19,000 square-feet of new meeting space to the Radisson Riverfront Hotel Augusta, bringing the total meeting space to 45,000 square feet. The new meeting amenities include a 5,000-square-foot ballroom; a 5,000-square-foot exhibit hall; additional breakout meeting rooms; and pre-function meeting space which overlooks Augusta's Riverwalk and the Savannah River. This nine-time President's award-winning Radisson hotel is known for its five-star meeting services.

Total construction cost for the hotel and additional meeting space was over $17 million.

Country Inns & Suites locations feature traditional architecture and sophisticated residential interior design with hardwood flooring and decorative ceiling borders. Each hotel welcomes guests with traditional furnishings that blend rich woods and elegant floral-patterned fabrics.

The rooms offer many amenities often found at higher-priced hotels such as complimentary breakfast, in-room coffee maker, in-room iron and ironing board, and weekday morning newspaper. Country Inns & Suites is known for its consistently high quality accommodations and personal, warm hospitality.

For the ninth year in a row, Country Inns & Suites has earned a 98 percent guest return rate, one of the highest in the industry. As a way to thank guests for their loyalty to the brand, Country Inns & Suites launched an in-house library program at its North American hotels called Book It And Return which lends free books to guests based on the assurance they will return the book on their next visit. For every book returned to a Country Inns & Suites hotel, the company will make a $5.00 donation to Laubach Literacy, the world's oldest and largest nonprofit educational literacy organization. New titles are introduced to the hotels' libraries each quarter.
