NXTV to Work With HP on Installation

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--NXTV, Inc., a provider of digital broadband interactive television services to the hospitality market, announced today that it has signed an agreement with Harrah's Entertainment Inc., to install the NXTV Broadband Intertainment System(TM) jointly with Hewlett-Packard, into Harrah's new Rincon Hotel & Casino near San Diego, Calif.

"We believe NXTV's system is the best digital system available to the hospitality market today," said Nicholas Naples, Corporate Vice President of Hotel Operations for Harrah's Entertainment. "We are continuously looking at ways to enhance and improve the overall guest experience and NXTV's digital system, along with their installation agreement with HP, will help us realize that goal."

NXTV and HP will jointly install the NXTV System over a Cisco converged IP network into the 200-room luxury Harrah's Rincon facility, due to open in August 2002. Key elements of the network include Cisco's Catalyst 2900 Long-Reach Ethernet XL Switches and Cisco's Building Broadband Service Manager (BBSM) products.

The $125 million property will feature 45,000 square feet of gaming space with more than 1,500 slot machines, about 30 table games and six restaurants and is expected to become the premier casino in Southern California.

James W. Miles, President & CEO, NXTV, Inc. commented, "Harrah's decision to select our system is a true reflection of our efforts to deliver a superior technology to the hospitality industry. We are delighted to team up with HP at this prestigious hotel and together, we look forward to delivering the ultimate in-room entertainment experience to their guests."
