Maxxton Makes Its Debut As A New IT Supplier To The International Lodging Industry

Maxxton - Maxxton bv is based in Middelburg, The Netherlands. In 1997 Maxxton was founded (then called Recreanet) by several persons who gained extensive experience with the Lodging Industry's business processes, when working for Holiday Parks and resort chains. Recreanet's primary focus was offering IT consultancy to lodging companies in the Benelux region. Doing so, Recreanet continued to gain knowledge of the business processes of these companies. As IT consultant Recreanet often faced the inability of the existing software distributors, to offer a complete and integrated enterprise solution for both individual resorts as well as resort chains. With this in mind, and supported by trends such as globalisation, increase of scale, product differentiation and upcoming facilities such as Spa and Golf courses, Recreanet decide to start the development of a new, innovative, complete, flexible and stable software system. The name of this system is Newyse.

Newyse - Recreanet teamed up with some high rated partners to develop Newyse. Among the organisations that have contributed to the development of Newyse are Oracle, Erasmus University Rotterdam and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young. Maxxton uses the DSDM method to develop its software, as they find the involvement of the eventual users essential. These are the people that have to work with the new system and know their business processes the best. Therefore several resort and holiday village chains from Belgium and The Netherlands participated in the development. With their knowledge and experience Newyse became a reality. The fact that Newyse has been designed to suit resorts does not mean that Newyse is incapable to support hotel(chain)s. Newyse has also been developed to support these companies.

Why Maxxton and not Recreanet? - Due to the changing business focus (from consultancy to software development and distribution) and a larger targeted market (no longer just the Benelux region, but the whole of Europe and even beyond), Recreanet decided to change its name to a new and more appropriate one. A name that corresponds with the company and its international ambition. A special agency created the name Maxxton. A name that suites a professional company that offers top class products.

Technology - Newyse is a comprehensive software system which is based on Oracle 9i technology and Java (J2EE) technology. This technology makes Newyse a highly flexible and stable software system. Newyse is a system that adjusts to the company, instead of the other way around.

Future - A number of chains have already decided to replace its current PMS and CRS system with Newyse. For the near future Maxxton is optimistic that more and more companies will do the same. Maxxton will continue to develop new and innovative suites for Newyse, as well as new products for the lodging Industry.
