WHITE PLAINS, NY | The new Hospitality Leadership Forum, as well as additional hotel-focused seminars and panel discussions being held during the 2004 International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show® (IH/M&RS), will offer lodging industry executives valuable information and knowledgeable insight on today’s most important trends. Leading experts will address a host of topics during a four-day series of seminars, November 13-16, 2004, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. Educational Programs
The special Hospitality Leadership Forum (HLF) will take place on Saturday, November 13, featuring two lodging sessions, an Industry Summit and an Industry Outlook, highlighting the upper segment of the hospitality industry. Tucker Carlson and Paul Begala, co-hosts of CNN’s Crossfire, will headline the event’s keynote luncheon. Concurrent breakout sessions will cover government advocacy; leadership skills; lodging food and beverage; sales and marketing; diversity; and technology.
The IH/M&RS conference will present an additional 17 seminars geared toward the lodging industry. Topics of discussion include cultural diversity, Federal labor law, yield management, recruiting, crisis preparation, training, and security.
In addition, the IH/M&RS will present a host of special restaurant and culinary events. This year’s line-up includes the 4th annual Restaurant Futurists, which will begin on Saturday, November 13, with “Power Circles: Masters of the Future, Keepers of the Flame,” a full day of programming hosted by Food Arts magazine and held at the International Culinary Theater at the French Culinary Institute. The conference will continue on Sunday, November 14 and Monday, November 15 at the Javits Center. A series of seminars with restaurant and food service leaders will highlight the most pressing issues in the culinary world; project coming trends; explore technology and its practical applications; and track the evolution of education within the industry.
The 89th annual International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show will run Saturday, November 13, through Tuesday, November 16, 2004, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. Following a full-day of conference and networking activities on Saturday, November 13, the IH/M&RS will feature three days of exhibits from Sunday, November 14, though Tuesday, November 16. The market presents some 1,500 hospitality industry suppliers and attracts approximately 45,000 in total trade attendance.
