SHEFFIELD, MA | Cypress Apparel Group, recognized for over a quarter of a century as one of the world’s leading providers of luxury bathrobes to the hotel and spa industries, has debuted two new additions to the company’s already expansive product line. The 2005 Hospitality Design Expo & Conference, held May 5-7 in Las Vegas, is where Cypress officially unveiled a luxurious new line of hotel sheets and an expanded line of towels. This product introduction represents the company’s first foray into the bed linen sector, and adds a more budget-conscious alternative to their existing towel collection.
“With the addition of luxury sheets and upper mid-range towels to our existing product lines, we are now able to offer a full range of bed and bath linens to fulfill the needs of any property,” says Cypress President, Karen Faul. “Hotels today are looking for not only a ‘one-stop-shop’ for linens, but also a recognizable brand that tells their guests that they can expect luxury and comfort during their stay. The Cypress name has become synonymous with luxury, style and durability over the years – and these new products continue our tradition of excellence and value.”
The new Cypress towels, called Riviera™, are designed to complement the company’s existing Kings Choice™ luxury towels introduced late last year. Kings Choice towels recently earned an ADEX Gold Award in the prestigious 2005 ADEX Awards competition, sponsored by Design Journal Magazine. Cypress has now upscaled Kings Choice towels even further with the addition of Egyptian cotton for the ultimate in softness and durability.
The 100% cotton ring-spun Riviera toweling offers a more economical alternative, while maintaining the plush look and feel of the existing line. Available in white or natural, Riviera towels feature a fancy dobby border that provides both style and maximum durability. A full range of sizes is available, including washcloths, hand towels, bath towels and bath mats.
The new line of Cypress sheets offers a full range of choices. The “Silver Collection” is crafted from either 200 or 250 thread-count cotton and poly blend, and is crease resistant. The “Gold Collection” offers a choice of 230 thread-count solid percale or sateen stripe in fine 40/1 yarn. The top-shelf 325 thread-count “Platinum Collection” sheets provide superior comfort with 100% Pima combed cotton, in the finest 60/1 yarn; in solid and a modern jacquard check design. All three collections include luxurious touches, such as dedicated selvage edges, 4” top hems, overlocking safety stitching and clean finishes. Available in Full, Queen and King sizes, the flat sheets are oversized and fitted sheets include deep 18” pockets to accommodate new pillow top mattresses. Custom sizes and colors in sheets and duvets, all constructions, are available by special order. Queen and King size duvets are offered in the Gold and Platinum Collections.
Stocked in Denton, Texas or Baltimore, Maryland for quick turnaround, Cypress’s new line of sheets and towels are manufactured in some of the world’s finest textile mills.
“We conducted an exhaustive search throughout Asia and the Middle East before selecting mills that could provide the ultimate level of quality for these new products, and yet produce them at a price that would allow us to pass those savings along to our clients,” said Gene Faul, CEO of Cypress. “We are confident that the end result accomplishes those objectives and that they will be well received by hoteliers and design professionals alike.
