Annual GM Conference hosted by Hospitality Management Corporation

Dallas, TX, Hospitality Management Corporation (HMC) recently held the annual General Managers Conference for their managed properties in Dallas, Texas. The 3-day event included a golf tournament, and two days of conference sessions.

The conference was held at the Holiday Inn in Addison, Texas, on May 16-18, 2005. Guest speakers included representatives from American Tescor; Safety First; A.J. Gallagher; HIRS; Hospitality Safeguards, Inc.; and The Hotel Sales Coach.

Awards were presented to HMC’s outstanding properties for 2004 at a gala banquet and awards ceremony on the last night of the conference:

• The award for HMC’s Full-Service Property of the Year was won by the Radisson DFW South in Irving, Texas, and was accepted by Bob Holsten, the hotel’s General Manager. The Radisson DFW South was also a recipient of the Radisson President’s Award for 2004, and received a Radisson award for best renovation in 2004.
• The Focused-Service Property of the Year award was presented to the Holiday Inn in Venice, Florida, and accepted by Sue Carron, the General Manager.
• Other awards for 2004 were presented to the Radisson Penn Harris, Camp Hill/Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, which was a Radisson President’s Award winner for the 3rd consecutive year; and to the Hilton Garden Inn in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Hospitality Management Corporation (HMC), founded in 1971, is a privately owned independent management company and is one of the oldest independent hotel management firms in the lodging industry. For over three decades, HMC has provided hotel management services for third party institutional and private owners. The company’s headquarters has been located in Dallas, Texas, since its inception.
