Ruhman has over 18 years’ experience in the hospitality industry in roles that include sales, marketing, business development, and consulting services. From 1991 to 1998, Ruhman held senior level marketing positions with prominent flagship hotels for Omni, Sheraton and Marriott. During that time, he was highly regarded as an innovative marketer and product reposition and branding specialist, and was honored with the designation of Marketer of the Year in 1995 for ITT Sheraton. In 1998, Ruhman joined the Pegasus Solutions Business Intelligence Division as Senior Marketing Consultant, where he worked directly with leading hotel chains in maximizing their sales and marketing though the application of advanced Customer Relationship Management (CRM). Subsequent to Pegasus, Ruhman served 3 years as Vice President of Business Development and Client Services for Lexington Services, a hotel marketing representation firm with 5,000 hotels worldwide. He was instrumental in the expansion, branding and marketing of new lines of business for Lexington to include leading booking engine, revenue management, channel management and e-marketing products that helped propel the company to record membership growth. During Ruhman’s tenure in 2003, VIP International purchased Lexington Services, and the new combined company was completely re-branded and launched as Vantis International. In addition to his work experience, Ruhman serves as a frequent lecturer on a variety of hotel marketing distribution and revenue management topics for a wide range of industry related organizations.
