Online Revenue Management Community Forum Launched By Xotels On New Social Networking Portal wiwih.com
Xotels has recently launched an Online Revenue Management Community and Forum which is operated by wiwih.com. Wiwih, which stands for ‘Who Is Who In Hospitality’, is a community platform for the hotel and travel industry operated by HSyndicate.org.
The Xotels Revenue Management Community and Forum is an interactive platform to discuss the latest Revenue Management market trends, ideas and best practices. It will also feature job vacancies, audioblogs, related industry news and resources like books and publications.
‘We have been off to a great start. Since the launch three weeks ago, over 200 hoteliers from around the globe have signed up, which is a very promising result. Together with wiwih.com, which is providing us with the technology, several of the resources and tremendous support, we intend to further grow our subscription base over the next few months. A great added value is that our members can access resources and network beyond Xotels by taking advantage of the other features of wiwih.com’, says Patrick Landman of Xotels.
Hsyndicate Founder & CEO Henri Roelings states: ‘Xotels’ initiative to create a pan-European revenue management platform really spoke to us. I feel they are really the first to step into this market and cross borders. Interestingly enough the Forum is not only attracting European attention but reactions have been posted by industry colleagues from the USA and Asia as well. We are really enthusiastic to have partnered with Xotels on this Revenue Management forum and see it as a strong added value for our existing wiwih.com community.’
Patrick Landman of Xotels continues, ‘The Forum is free and open to anyone to visit and read, but to participate in the group discussions you need to subscribe. We are really looking forward for the interaction between the revenue managers to take of. The first topics for discussion have already started. We are interested to see how they will further develop, and what other topics will be posted. It’s an opportunity for people in different organisations and at various function levels to communicate and discuss with each other. We already see CEO’s of large organisations and managers of other companies participating in the same discussion.’
‘We will continue to build more. Next week we will feature our first audioblog, focused on the need of better education on revenue management practices and techniques in the hotel industry. We will also touch on our revenue management seminars across France, Spain, Benelux and Scandinavia in June and July. We will soon add job vacancies and a poster board for interesting news articles on which anyone can add links’, Fernando Vives of Xotels adds.
