Restolingua to Launch Revolutionary Web-Based Menu Translation and Editing Tool
Peter Everaert, President and Paul Van den Heuvel, CEO of Restolingua Inc, a company registered in the Clark Special Economic Zone in The Philippines, announce the official release of their first fully web based product for the hospitality industry at the HOFEX 2007 trade fair in Hong Kong: Restolingua Basic Package.
The product which is now ready for user pre-registration, viewing and testing will be fully released and will be fully operational by June 1, 2007 and will cost only US$ 200.- for a yearly subscription.
Restolingua specializes in the development of online menu editing, translation and printing systems for professionals of the hospitality industry.
Restolingua’s Basic Package allows users to edit, translate and print menus rapidly by means of any internet browser from and to: Dutch, English UK, English US, French, German, Italian, and Spanish.
The main feature of the product is its comprehensive database which includes more than 21,000 culinary expressions in the 7 languages mentioned (a total of more than 150,000 items) ranging from classic preparations to ingredients and typical hospitality terminology.
The whole system has been programmed in Java 2E and is built on a three tier architecture.
Another product to be released by Restolingua by the end of July 2007 - based on the extensive database - is the largest online culinary translation dictionary allowing for word-by-word translation. This product will certainly be of interest not only to professionals of the industry and will also be a valuable tool for hotel schools in their language courses and for professional translators who count hoteliers and restaurateurs amongst their customers.
Very special conditions for Hotel Schools will help to better educate students and apprentices to help them to produce standardized multilingual menus, wine lists and banquet proposals.
Restolingua further announces that they are actually negotiating with partners to further expand the database not only with more expressions but most importantly with more languages including Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Arabic.
The additional culinary expressions of the respective language areas and the translation of the existing database will be included in the Restolingua Advanced Package which will cost users only US$ 1 per day (Yearly subscription of US$ 365.-) for unlimited translations.
