Since then the group has expanded, through acquisition and through developing its existing sites, to 21 hotels with over 2800 bedrooms and over 250 meetings and conference rooms across the UK.
A customer of Xn since its inception, QHotels expanded its estate in 2007 with the acquisition of Marston Hotels and the Telford Gold & Country Club. A rollout plan was agreed to incorporate the additional properties into the existing, centralised systems installed and supported by Xn Hotels.
Over a period of 9 months, Protel, dotPOS and Xn globalRES were implemented in parallel across the new hotels, running its core IT systems in a true, centralised, multi-property environment.
“From the beginning, we have always pursued a strategy of centralising our key systems to minimise IT maintenance, retain central control over key processes and deliver operational benefits to our sales, marketing, revenue and distribution teams”, stated David Kelly, Director of IT. “With the addition of 12 properties in 2007, we expect to capitalise even further on this strategy.”
