IRVINE, Calif. | Sure to be welcomed by out-of-towners visiting one of California’s most sought after travel destinations, R.D. Olson Construction has begun work on the Long Beach Residence Inn. The hotel is owned by Ensemble Real Estate, LLC of Long Beach, Calif.
The $30 million project is on the fast track to get completed by early next summer.
“We have built many hotels for Marriott throughout the country and are well-prepared to get the Long Beach Residence Inn opened according to plans,” said Robert Olson, CEO/President, R.D. Olson Construction.
The new hotel at 600 Queensway Dr. overlooks the Long Beach Harbor and is in close proximity to the world-renowned luxury super liner-turned-WWII-transporter, the Queen Mary.
Within the 135,000 square feet of new construction, the Long Beach Residence Inn will house 178 rooms comprised of 139 studios, 29 one-bedrooms and ten two-bedroom units. The contemporary hi-rise will stand 11 stories. Flanked by large glass windows, the hotel will be stylish in design and tailored for comfort.
The architect of the Long Beach Residence Inn is Cuningham Group of Marina del Rey. Seattle, Wash.-based Johnson Braund Design Group, Inc will design the hotel’s interior.
