Premier Stockton (CA) Property Hosts Fanfare Grand Opening Party
Community and Business Leaders on Hand to Usher in New Era at Hotel
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Lexington Plaza Waterfront Hotel in Stockton, California was the site of a celebratory fete to be remembered by local commerce and community leaders for years to come. Hotel Vice President Jeroen Gerrese oversaw the planning of the December 17 event that celebrate the opening of the property that only weeks before had become the showcase member of the Lexington Collection of fine Hotels, Plaza Hotels, and Resorts worldwide.
Enjoying the festivities at the holiday-decked party were Stockton’s Councilwoman-elect Diana Lowery and her husband, Mayor-elect Ann Johnston, and Lexington’s CEO, President, and Partner, Steve Belmonte.
According to Gerrese, a new era in Stockton and Northern California was being ushered in with the opening of the 179-room Lexington Plaza. “We are designated as the ‘place to be and the main place in town to host a party.’ With our picturesque waterfront views, generous and spacious ballrooms, and the year-round tranquil weather, our premier hotel will be the place where memories will be made.”
Belmonte is quick to agree. “This is definitely a destination hotel. The essence of grandeur that radiates from this property is on another level – it’s inviting, charming, relaxing, and spectacular. Who wouldn’t want to have a wedding or anniversary party here?”
Over 500 people attended the Grand Opening gala. Partygoers enjoyed the delights from the margarita bar and a hand-rolled cigar booth.
“We are definitely looking ahead to being a leader in hospitality in our community,” said Gerrese.
