Harish Sinha Appointed as Onity’s General Manager for United Kingdom and Ireland

Onity has announced the appointment of Harish Sinha as general manager of their United Kingdom and Ireland business unit. Based at Onity’s United Kingdom headquarters in Liverpool, England, Harish will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Onity business in the U.K. and Ireland. Onity, one of the world’s leading providers of electronic locking solutions, is part of UTC Fire & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX).

Harish will consult and coordinate with Onity’s European headquarters in Spain and with their world headquarters in Atlanta to provide strategic leadership for the region. His main duty will be to develop and implement a growth plan to achieve financial targets for the U.K. and Ireland. In addition, he will provide cross-functional leadership, as well as reviewing and managing product development and licensing.

Having held leadership roles with commercial and scientific product companies, Harish brings extensive experience in European sales and marketing to his new position at Onity. Previously, Harish was the EMEA (Europe/Middle East and Africa) sales director for Smiths Detection, Ltd., managing the direct introduction of scientific equipment and distributor’s network across the region.

Harish holds a Masters Degree in Advanced Chemical Engineering from Imperial College at the University of London.
