Ribbon Cut To Mark Opening Of The Residence Inn Arlington Courthouse
Barbara Favola, Arlington County Board Chair, Arne Sorenson, President and COO of Marriott International and James Donohoe, II, President and CEO of The Donohoe Companies, Inc. participated in a Ribbon Cutting ceremony today to mark the opening of the 176-suite Residence Inn Arlington Courthouse hotel next to the Courthouse Metro station.
ARLINGTON, VA, Barbara Favola, Arlington County Board Chair, Arne Sorenson, President and COO of Marriott International and James Donohoe, II, President and CEO of The Donohoe Companies, Inc. participated in a Ribbon Cutting ceremony today to mark the opening of the 176-suite Residence Inn Arlington Courthouse hotel next to the Courthouse Metro station (photo attached).
The site located at the west terminus of Courthouse Plaza had remained vacant for nearly 20-years. In 2004 Arlington County selected The Donohoe Companies to develop the project after a lengthy competition. "This project hotel has created forty-two (42) new hospitality jobs for Arlington County and 176-new suites for the Arlington lodging market" said Chris Bruch, President of Donohoe Hospitality Service, the company that will be managing the new property.
The Residence Inn by Marriott Arlington Courthouse is part of the Arlington Courthouse Plaza Complex adjacent to the Court House Metro station on the orange line (
