The event, to be held March 14-15 in New York City, will provide attendees with the opportunity to interact with peers and other experts to build business plans and proactively and strategically position themselves as industry leaders.
New this year are interactive labs that will mix expert talks and hands-on workshops with peer groups, organized by travel program size, as well as industry, to ensure more relevant knowledge sharing. Attendees will hear from top-ranked faculty at The Wharton School, who are experienced at blending theoretical knowledge with real-time, real-world business applications. The Wall Street Journal has joined NBTA as the event’s media partner and will provide education resources and economic insight.
Michael W. McCormick, NBTA Executive Director and COO, said, “We wanted to give members a benefit they won’t forget – free education and networking! While the economy is slowly recovering, travel professionals remain cautious and budgets remain tight. The complimentary event will allow them to work around budget constraints while at the same time gaining the insights necessary to prove their value.” Travel professionals wishing to attend the Strategic Travel Symposium who are not current members of NBTA may join the association prior to the event or onsite to receive complimentary admission.
