Marco Polo Signs Management Contract for new hotel in Guiyang, Guizhou Province, China
Marco Polo Hotels announced the management of a new property in Guizhou Province, China – The Marco Polo Guiyang. A signing ceremony was held tin Hong Kong and attended by Mr Steve Kleinschmidt, President of Marco Polo Hotels and Mr Ge Weidong, Chairman of Guizhou Eastview Real Estate Co. Ltd, the owning company of the hotel.
"We are pleased to be expanding Marco Polo's portfolio with the addition of the Marco Polo Guiyang, which will further strengthen our presence in China and bringing the number of hotels in operations and under development in China to 13 hotels. Guiyang is a key market in the southwestern part of China and it is also one of Marco Polo's target development markets. The "Marco Polo" brand will now create major impact in the area and greater awareness in the Guizhou province, "said Steve Kleinschmidt, President of Marco Polo Hotels.

The Marco Polo Guiyang will provide 300 rooms and suites including Marco Polo's signature Continental Club Floor providing the finest in international service. The dining options are Café Marco, the Lobby Lounge, and a Chinese restaurant. The conference and banquet facilities will include the Marco Polo Ballroom and a number of function rooms. A recreation area features a swimming pool, health spa and gymnasium.
