About The Pod Hotels
Hoteliers Richard Born and Ira Drukier developed BD Hotels" successful micro-hotel concept to accommodate the needs of today"s savvy, "young-minded" traveler. Pod Hotels, which has two existing properties in Manhattan, and two additional hotels in development in Times Square and Brooklyn, now offers DC as a new destination for its guests to discover. BD was the first to introduce the micro-hotel model to New York City in 2007 with the launch of the original Pod Hotel, Pod 51, in Midtown East followed by the launch of Pod 39 in 2012. Offering guests efficient, clean accommodations ranging from 60-120 square feet, and vibrant communal spaces and high-tech amenities, the hotels" values of affordability, community, and innovation immediately became a success. The Pod 51 rates start at $89/night, and Pod 39 rates start at $119/night.www.thepodhotel.com
