HANYC Announces New Leadership For 2013
The Hotel Association ofNew York City, Inc. announced its new slate of officers for 2013, including the election ofGeoffrey A. Mills, Managing Director of the Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan, to Chairman of the Board. Mr. Mills, who last year served as Board Secretary, prior to that as Treasurer, and has been on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of HANYC since 2003, has worked in positions of increasing responsibility...
Mr. Mills' professional affiliations are numerous. He served on theJuly 2006Contract Negotiating Committee and has been a Board Trustee for NYHTC and HANYC Hotel Benefits Fund and Pension Funds since 2005. He was a member of the Midtown West 44/45th Street Block Association and served as President from 2001 – 2002. Mr. Mills also has been a member of the New York Hotel Executives Association since 1997, as well as a member of the Food and Beverage Association of America, serving as its President from 1991 –1993 and Chairman of the Board since 1994.

His wisdom has guided us well and he will continue to contribute to the Board as Treasurer next year," Mr. Mills said. "It will be an absolute honor for me to serve as Chairman of HANYC, as it is the culmination of a career that has been devoted to the hospitality industry in the greatest City in the world."
Mr. Mills graduated fromAshland Universitywith a B. S. in Business Administration, with a double major in Hotel & Restaurant Mgt. and Marketing Management and a minor in Nutrition and Food Management.
