Hong Kong visitor arrivals were driven by mainland Chinese visitors, while greater China faces a headwind. Hong Kong received more than 48 million visitors in the year 2012, including over 13 million visitors in quarter four alone, reflecting a 15.1% year-on-year (YOY) growth for the quarter. This was mainly driven by a record 9.58 million visitor arrivals from mainland China, reflecting a 24.2% YOY increase.
