CharitableHotels.org Adds 37 Charities in First Year

Stay it Forward concept grows rapidly since inception

CharitableHotels.org, the first non-profit online travel agency (OTA) in the country, has added 37 charities to its roster in its first nine months of business. Travelers can now choose from 37 charities to donate to when booking their trip. CharitableHotels.org, which launched in April of this year, offers travelers the same hotels with the same rates as other OTA's like Expedia and Hotels.

"CharitableHotels.org's growth doesn't surprise me," says Monica Enloe, Development Director, Kansas Children's Service League. "It is a great idea and service and we are thrilled to be one of the first partners."

CharitableHotels.org works just like any other OTA. The travel reservation is booked online at CharitableHotels.org where the traveler will find the same hotels as on Hotels.com, Expedia, Orbitz, Travelocity, etc. More importantly, the rates are exactly the same as with any other OTA. Rate parity is contractually required by hotel chains and OTAs. Next, the hotel pays the negotiated commission to CharitableHotels.org. No additional fee is added to the traveler's bill.

CharitableHotels.org is America's first non-profit Online Travel Agency. Located in Kansas City, MO, it was founded in January 2012.
