GBTA Searches For New Talent to Lead Canada

The Global Business Travel Association, the voice of the business travel industry, today announced that they will be seeking a new regional director for GBTA Canada. Ms. Tanya Racz, who has served in this capacity for 9 years, resigned her position and will finish her role at the end of April.

"We are very grateful for Tanya's dedication to the Association and the Canadian business travel and meetings community and we fully respect her decision to move on to other opportunities," said Michael W. McCormick, GBTA executive director and COO. "She has worked tirelessly for nine years to lead GBTA's efforts in Canada and has ensured that GBTA's conference and wider activities in the country are highly respected. Naturally, she will be sorely missed."

"GBTA will begin the search for a new regional director for GBTA Canada," said Paul Tilstone, GBTA senior vice president of global operations. "The individual we are searching for will help build on the success to date by engaging with the Canadian business travel and meetings community and bringing creative solutions to the network to further the goals of GBTA in education, training and research."

Ms. Racz said, "I have spent 9 years overseeing the development of GBTA Canada which is an integral part of the overall GBTA global structure. We have retained a Canadian focus whilst continuing to bring global content. I am proud to have overseen our biggest conference yet, with over 425 delegates, in March of this year. It's time for someone else to take the baton and continue to deliver what Canadian business travel and meetings professionals deserve."

The Association will begin conducting stakeholder meetings and candidate interviews in June in Canada.
