INTEREL and LOCATEL announce the best of room control and in-room applications for hotel guests

Dubai, 28th September 2013, INTEREL, leading innovator and developer of design oriented online room and energy management systems for the hospitality, and LOCATEL, leading integrator of Internet, mobile and TV solutions for the hospitality industry in EMEA ,announce a new partnership that will bring high-end hotels the best of room control and in-room mobile content and services using just a single tablet application. INTEREL's augmented reality interface is now accessible using the LOCATEL IN ROOM COMPANION, a native iPad application which gives access to hotel content and services such as hotel information, TV control, mobile TV and e-shopping. This partnership raises the guest experience to a whole new level in technology.

During the Hotel Show in Dubai, the two companies will demonstrate the ultimate experience in automated room control using INTEREL's new full screen augmented reality interface on LOCATEL's easy-to-use mobile application. The augmented reality HTML5 interface developed by INTEREL gives hotel guests the most intuitive and effective way to control room lights, air conditioning, curtains and set predefined scenes and moods. INTEREL offers other essential room service features such as do not disturb/ make-up the room /laundry calls and a complete housekeeping workflow

With the integration of INTEREL's solution into LOCATEL's tablet application - hotel clients have not only access to the amazing room control features powered by INTEREL's technology but can also benefit from a range of other in-room content and services proposed through the application. These services include innovations such as mobile TV, digital remote control, TV electronic program guide, Video on Demand previews, room service, e-shopping, room directories and weather forecasts amongst others
