Dorsett Hospitality International Core Team Unites for 1st General Managers' Retreat
Winnie Chiu, president and executive director of Dorsett Hospitality International recently gathered her Core Team comprising Hotel General Managers from Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, Singapore and London; and Senior Management Team from both the Hong Kong-based Corporate Office and Regional Office, Malaysia together for a 2 ½ days General Managers' Retreat, held in the group's newly opened hotel, Dorsett Tsuen Wan, Hong Kong.
The Retreat carried the theme: 'The Way Forward' and was facilitated by two appointed boutique hospitality consulting companies, Elements HSC and QQS Ltd. During the retreat, various workshops and sharing sessions were held to discuss the strategies for Brand Standard development, Sales & Marketing strategies, Core Values formulation and the roll out of strategic plans in line with the Group's expansion moving forward into 2014.
To foster closer rapport between the Core Team, numerous team building events were organised including the 'Dorsett Dash' aimed at offering the opportunity for 'visiting' General Managers out of Hong Kong to get to know Hong Kong better and also to put their 'leadership skill' to test. The group were divided into six teams, and teams were required to make pit stops at the various hotels owned by the Group within a 3-hour time frame.
The highlight of the Retreat was the presentation of recognition awards. Held for the 1st time, four awards were given out by Winnie Chiu, president and executive director of Dorsett Hospitality International….The Most Improved GOP Margin was accorded to Dorsett Kwun Tong; The Most Improved RevPAR was accorded to Dorsett Grand Labuan; Dorsett Regency Kuala Lumpur was recognised for its continued efforts in Community Leadership and Cosmopolitan Hotel Hong Kong was accorded the award for Crisis Leadership.
