"The Rio de Janeiro hotel market in particular, and those in Salvador, Recife, Natal, Fortaleza and Brasília, are anticipated to record strong performances in a traditionally lean season. RevPAR is expected to double during the month-long tournament in majority of the host cities" says Cristiano Vasques, Managing Director of HVS São Paulo.
After the conclusion of the World Cup, HVS São Paulo will publish a summary, discussing the initial industry results, as well as the legacy left by the event on the economy and tourism of the country.
