Just months after celebrating its 20th anniversary, Broadband Hospitality—

a Marriott Global Property Network Standards (GPNS)-certified provider for guest Internet, and an exclusive provider of Internet, DIRECTV HDTV and other technology services to Value Place—is set to exhibit at HITEC (booth 1301). The lodging industry's leading technology event will take place June 23 to 26 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

For Broadband Hospitality, HITEC marks another year of steady,

consistent growth, not only with Marriott and Value Place, but also with a long list of clients representing brands including Holiday Inn, Comfort Inn & Suites, Radisson, Microtel Inn & Suites, Westin Hotels & Resorts, and many others.

It was just a year ago that Broadband Hospitality became a Marriott GPNS-certified provider for

guest Internet, following the company's successful completion of Marriott's rigorous testing and acceptance periods. Today, over 50 Marriott properties have Internet equipment installed by Broadband Hospitality. That group of hotels, combined with the Value Place installations since October 2012, and hundreds of others, brings Broadband Hospitality to more than 420 Internet clients and more than 150 free-to-guest TV clients.

Why Companies Choose Broadband Hospitality

Curt Weingart, VP Sales & Marketing for Broadband Hospitality, says

there are many important reasons companies have opted for Broadband Hospitality's wired and wireless Internet systems, Internet bandwidth and DIRECTV free-to-guest, HDTV programming.

"We have a formula that works," Weingart says. "We have been serving hospitality exclusively for 20 years. We are still growing, expanding, hiring. Our corporate philosophy is to do whatever it takes to make our customers happy—what is the right thing to do and best for the customer in the long run. It ultimately pays off. What separates us is that we are small enough to react to things whereas larger companies cannot. We get a lot of referrals."

Eighty percent of Broadband Hospitality's core staff has been with the company for 10 years or more. The U.S.-based helpdesk located at the corporate headquarters in Youngstown, Ohio provides hotel staff and guests customer service and technical support 24x7x365.

"We send our own crews to do installations," Weingart says. "We do not send contractors. We can provide much better service by having our own people on-site."

Only Marriott certified equipment is now installed or highly recommended. Due to the volume of wholesale bandwidth that it purchases, Broadband Hospitality is able to pass its savings along to its customers. The proliferation of smart phones, tablets, game systems, and energy management systems has escalated the demand for bandwidth exponentially over the past two years.

Broadband Hospitality sets up and installs wired and wireless infrastructure in a hotel—from the head end servers to wireless access points. Using a Wi-Fi survey process called heat mapping, it can show a hotel owner or manager how well a property is covered by a wireless signal. "We walk in every guestroom and gauge the signal," Weingart says.

Broadband Hospitality sets up and installs HDTV in hotels and is a DIRECTV L&I dealer. Vince Lucci, owner of Broadband Hospitality, sits on the DIRECTV Dealer Advisory Council.

Customers Pleased by Work Quality

Dharmesh Surati, owner, The Forza Group, Carnegie, Pa., currently purchases both Internet and television service from Broadband Hospitality.

"My family and

company have been doing business with Broadband Hospitality for over 20 years," Surati says. "I deal with hundreds of vendors. I know that whenever I deal with Broadband Hospitality, the job will be done right. Cost isn't really a factor because of their quality and responsiveness."

Che Bliayang, Network Engineer, CSM

Corp., says Broadband Hospitality has been providing Internet services for his company's Marriott portfolio for the past 12 years.

"What's impressive is

their knowledge of the hospitality industry and especially the customers," Bliayang says. "Not only are they focused in technology, but they understand the customer's expectations and requirements in today's ever changing business environment."
