The Knowland Group Announces New President and Chief Executive Officer, Tim Hart
Business intelligence in the group meetings marketplace to be redefined
The Knowland Group, the leading business intelligence provider for the global meetings and events industry, announced today that the company has appointed a new Chief Executive Officer and member of the board of directors beginning on October 1st, 2014. Tim Hart is succeeding the leadership of Founder Michael K. McKean under whose guidance the company saw remarkable expansion. Mr. McKean remains with the company as an investor and board member.

Tim Hart is a technology travel and hospitality industry veteran with over 20 years of experience. Tim most recently co-founded and served as CEO of The Rubicon Group, which redefined business intelligence products to major U.S. hotel chains. He led the successful sale of the business to Travelclick and served in multiple leadership roles overseeing the Business Intelligence division and later the Enterprise Research and Development for Travelclick.
Prior to founding The Rubicon Group, Tim led the product and technology development activities of Aeronomics Incorporated, a revenue management consulting and software development company. Aeronomics later merged with Decision Focus Incorporated to form Talus Solutions. He was instrumental in the development of the firm's revenue management system for the rental car industry.
