Its managed Fairfield Inn & Suites-Leavenworth, KS Also Wins Opening Hotel of the Year

Overland Park, Kan. -- True North Hotel Group has for an unprecedented sixth time received Marriott International's highest owner/franchisee honor, the Partnership Circle Award. Marriott International President and CEO Arne Sorensen presented the award to True North Chairman and CEO Lew Wiens, President and Chief Operating Officer Richard Merkel, and Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer Brad Wiens at Marriott's CONNECT Conference, held recently in Orlando.
True North received Marriott's Partnership Circle Award as well in 2004, 2006, 2009, 2012 and 2014. Of True North's 24 open hotels, 18 are Marriott-branded.
Marriott's Partnership Circle Award honors companies that share a commitment to Marriott's philosophies and principles, fully embrace Marriott's brand initiatives, focus on associates to create a well-managed and engaged workforce, provide outstanding customer service, and contribute in a significant way to growing Marriott's brands.
True North also won the Fairfield Inn's brand Opening Hotel of the Year for its managed Fairfield Inn & Suites in Leavenworth, KS. The hotel is owned by Ferguson Hotel Group.
