Frasers Hospitality Partners WWF-Singapore On New Earth Hour Programme For Climate Action
An additional $1 contributed by guests for every night spent at Frasers Hospitality’s properties will go to WWF’s climate projects under the Earth Hour ‘Just One’ hotels programme
Singapore -- Demonstrating its continued support for global environmental sustainability awareness this year, Frasers Hospitality, a division of Frasers Centrepoint Limited ("FCL"), has signed on as the first partner in WWF Earth Hour's 'Just One' hotels programme. Under this pioneer programme, guests will be invited to support critical WWF climate projects by adding an additional $1 for every night spent at participating Frasers Hospitality properties to contribute towards protecting the 'homes' of millions of people and wildlife around the world.
Mr Choe Peng Sum, Chief Executive Officer of Frasers Hospitality said, "Our commitment to reducing environmental impact extends beyond that of ensuring our properties and practices are environmentally friendly. We believe driving greater awareness on the issue, particularly through the education of the younger generation, will have the longest and largest impact on environmental sustainability, and will continue to support these initiatives on a local and a global basis."
An organization committed to sustainability, Frasers Hospitality has been involved in various environmental efforts including the 'Frasers Earth' initiative and implementing energyefficient measures, monitoring systems to reduce energy consumption, efficient water conservation systems and fostering greener lifestyles and environments across all levels of operations.
"At WWF and Earth Hour, we believe climate action can start anywhere, even when you are miles away from home. The 'Just One' hotels programme is a step in that direction," said Siddarth Das, Executive Director, Earth Hour Global. "We are grateful to Frasers Hospitality for their support and commitment towards our vision of collectively creating a better future for our shared home - planet Earth, for ourselves and generations to come."
