Zachry Hospitality Breaks Ground on New Embassy Suites by Hilton

SAN ANTONIO -- Zachry Hospitality officially breaks ground on its newest hotel today, laying the ground work for a stable future and continued growth. Once complete, Embassy Suites by Hilton San Antonio Landmark Centre will include 203 all-suite guest rooms, 7,800 sq. ft. of flexible meeting space, a restaurant, outdoor swimming pool, fitness center and other amenities located at 5615 Landmark Parkway, nestled in the southeast corner of I-10 and Loop 1604.

"The Zachry family of companies has a long history with San Antonio. This is where we were founded in 1924 and today we are building upon that foundation," said Robert Thrailkill, vice-president of Zachry Hospitality. "This expansion will not only provide additional guest rooms in the area, but it will also allow us to grow our hospitality portfolio, creating new jobs and expanding our dedication to the city's growth."

The new hotel will benefit the growing corporate campuses nearby including: Valero Energy, NuStar, Security Service Federal Credit Union, Medtronic and USAA while leveraging its' proximity to The Shops at La Cantera, The Rim, Six Flags Fiesta Texas and University of Texas San Antonio. "My grandfather had the initial vision of building high-quality hotels centered on the premise of unmatched guest service. We are proud to be expanding on this tradition," said David Zachry, President and Chief Executive Officer of Zachry Corporation and third-generation Zachry in the company.

Zachry Construction Corporation, general contractor and a subsidiary of Zachry Corporation, will begin construction immediately with a the grand opening scheduled for July 2018. Zachry Hospitality plans to hire an initial 85 employees to work on the property.
