Life House launches a collection of lifestyle hotels that are experience-driven, locally-rooted, and accessible to everyone. The first two hotels are located in Miami's Little Havana and South Beach neighborhoods, and begin accepting reservations today. The company also unveils its proprietary technology platform, which supports a frictionless direct booking system, mobile app and social network for travelers.

Life House has raised $70 million in funding to date between venture and real estate capital, with investment from Global Founders Capital, Rocket Internet, Comcast Ventures, Trinity Ventures, Henley Investments, and others. As the first US-based lifestyle hotel company to be backed by sophisticated venture capital and real estate capital, Life House is positioned to modernize an antiquated hospitality industry that has been plagued with silo'd technology, and reset consumer expectations around what the hotel experience can be.

Life House is a holistic solution to modern travel and hospitality. The company is vertically integrated, which allows it to own the full hotel experience-construction, design, food and beverage, service, and amenities-under the same overarching goals and brand narrative. Through this model, Life House creates cohesive, expressive hotels, and drastically reduces the cost to develop and operate them. Those savings are passed on to travelers, providing them with a 4.5 star experience at a fraction of the price.

Each Life House property is thoughtfully designed with people in mind. Every space is crafted to encourage connection with a distinct aesthetic and story that is tied together through the shared Life House ethos. The hotels are stylish, with a look and feel that is cosmopolitan yet down to earth, and fully connected to the community they are in. Each property brings to life the personality of its neighborhood through unique food and beverage, and music programs fully curated and produced by locals.

To power Life House, the team built its proprietary software and technology infrastructure from the ground up. The Life House platform offers a seamless, intuitive experience, akin to what modern consumers have become accustomed to from other direct to consumer brands they admire. In addition to a frictionless booking process, technology features like user verification, customer reviews, and the ability to message other travelers establish trust, lead to more bookings, and drive ultimate loyalty.

An industry first, and one of Life House's most defining features is its social network, and the ability to connect travelers. Guests traveling on the same dates to the same location can opt into an online community where they can chat, make plans, join forums based on interest (i.e. nightlife, wellness, history buffs, etc.), and ultimately meet in person on-property. In the future, travelers in shared rooms will be able to meet their flatmates prior to arrival via the social network. To ensure the best group dynamic, Life House uses an algorithm to match guests based on their profile and preferences.

After a booking is made, travelers can begin interacting on the mobile app with other guests and Life House-selected locals who can host activities like dinner parties or fitness classes on property or off. Guests can also use the mobile app for keyless entry into their pre-selected rooms upon arrival, and contact customer support for everything, including housekeeping requests and restaurant reservations. These services will also be accessible on Life House properties through modern kiosks in lieu of the traditional hotel front desk.

Open for reservations today, Life House's first property is set to launch later this fall in the heart of Miami's Little Havana neighborhood, and will be quickly followed by a second location in South Beach. Little Havana will feature a rooftop bar and restaurant from a rising local chef, as well as a rooftop garden and pool. Both hotels will include artwork, music, health and wellness activities from local artisans and makers from the colorful Miami community.

Life House hotels will offer a mix of room types that will include queen and king rooms, suites, and a re-engineered shared room concept designed for group travelers. This room type features "adult approved" full-size bunk beds, and private bathrooms. All rooms will feature complimentary Le Labo personal care products, and a Marshall bluetooth speaker. Private rooms will have flat screen TVs, and mini bars stocked with local favorites.

Life House is pacing to have over 20 hotels under development in the U.S. by the end of 2019. After Miami, the team will open new hotels in Denver and Brooklyn. To learn more about Life House, and book a room, visit www.life-house.com.
