Meliá Hotels International prepares for Summer in Spain with the Reopening of more than 60 Hotels up to July

Meliá Hotels International, the leading hotel company in Spain, will start opening some of its hotels in Spain in June and eventually have almost 60 hotels open throughout the country in July. This number will increase if there is sufficient demand, with the company fully committed to getting as many people as possible back to work and helping to stimulate the economy.
Thanks to the recent campaign launched on melia.com using the tagline "When you come back, stay safe with Meliá" and a noticeable increase in bookings in recent weeks, the company expects to open a dozen hotels this month in mainland Spain, such as the iconic Gran Meliá Sancti Petri (Cadiz), Meliá Villaitana (Alicante), Meliá Lebreros (Seville) and Meliá Atlanterra (Cadiz) in Andalusia, the Meliá Villaitana (Alicante), Hotel Valencia Oceanic and TRYP Ciudad de Alicante in the Valencia region, and the Tryp Santiago and Tryp Vigo in Galicia.
In July, Meliá guests will find hotels open in the main tourism destinations such as Andalusia, the Valencia region, the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands, including the Gran Meliá Don Pepe (Malaga), Meliá Costa del Sol (Malaga) Meliá Benidorm (Alicante), Sol Costablanca (Alicante) Meliá Cala Galdana (Menorca), Sol Beach House Ibiza, INNSiDE Ibiza, Meliá Calvià Beach (Mallorca), Meliá Palma Bay (Mallorca), Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora (Tenerife), Meliá Salinas (Lanzarote) and Meliá Fuerteventura, among others. Some hotels in Madrid and Barcelona, such as the Meliá Madrid Serrano or ME Sitges, among others, and northern destinations such as the Meliá María Pita (Coruña), Meliá Bilbao (Bilbao) and Tryp Orly (San Sebastián) will also be added to the list of hotels reopening.
Although the objective of Meliá Hotels International is to open all these hotels as scheduled, if that is eventually not possible, the company is committed to offering guests who have already booked a similar or better hotel in the same destination.
Meliá continues working for customers, this time with the launch of a campaign using the tagline "When you come back, stay safe with Meliá". The campaign is designed to reconnect with customers and was based on the results of a survey of more than 100,000 MeliáRewards members to find out more about their motivation and needs in this new post-Covid era, among which, above all, their primary concerns were safety and competitive pricing. The promotion includes a 30% discount and very flexible booking conditions with free cancellation. Members of MeliáRewards also get 50% extra bonus points whenever they buy MeliáRewards points.
All the hotels scheduled to reopen have earned the Stay Safe with Meliá guarantee, the result of a programme Meliá Hotels International has created to adapt hotels to the new situation, including a guide to the rigorous application of the health and safety recommendations made by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and local health authorities. This global programme has been certified by Bureau Veritas and includes a wide range of health and safety activities in all the different parts of the hotel as well as a focus on the emotional well-being of customers to ensure the company can guarantee the best possible hotel experience.
