STR: Canada Hotel Results For Week Ending 17 October
Canadian hotel occupancy fell 55% to 29.9% during the week of 11-17 October. ADR decreased 26.1% to 114.62 Canadian dollars ($87.17) and RevPAR dropped 66.7% to CA$34.24 ($26.04).
STR data for 11-17 October 2020 showed slightly lower performance from prior weeks for Canada's hotel industry.

11-17 October 2020 (percentage change from comparable week in 2019):
- Occupancy: 29.9% (-55.0%)
- Average daily rate (ADR): CAD114.62 (-26.1%)
- Revenue per available room (RevPAR): CAD34.24 (-66.7%)
Occupancy for previous weeks came in at 32.2% (10 October), 34.0% (3 October), and 35.6% (26 September), respectively.
For the week ending with 17 October, British Columbia recorded the highest occupancy level (39.1%) among the provinces.
Vancouver (33.7%) was the only major market at or above a 30% occupancy level.
The lowest occupancy among provinces was reported in Quebec (15.6%). At the market level, the lowest occupancy was reported in Montreal (12.9%).
