Dallas, TX - OpenKey, the industry standard for universal digital key for hotels has announced a new alliance with ThinkReservations: an all-in-one online booking engine, property management system (PMS), and channel manager for small-to-medium sized lodging properties. This alliance will automate the delivery of mobile keys to guests" smartphones, and aid in streamlining hotel check-ins.

Hotels nationwide are adding automated digital key delivery to reduce guest check-in wait times, save costs on expensive RFID keycards and create a contactless experience for guests. The powerful new integration automatically issues a secure digital key to a guest"s smartphone upon check-in, making the process simple, with no additional steps needed from the front desk.

Whenever a reservation is made through ThinkReservations, the guest's mobile number will be stored within the reservation and automatically associated with a digital key in OpenKey HOST. The Digital Key is then stored securely as an encrypted token on the guest's smartphone and communicated with a digital door lock via Bluetooth.
