In addition to Spain and Austria, the leading European technology provider for short-term accommodation is opening its fourth European location and at the same time one of over 2,000 units under contract. With the opening in the Netherlands, the Munich-based start-up is accessing one of the leading hotel markets in continental Europe. The Dutch hotels’ and serviced apartments’ occupancy rate is almost at 80 percent across various cities. Experts also expect the market to recover quickly after last year’s development. As a tourist destination, the region is already popular again this summer – especially leisure destinations as The Hague are already benefiting strongly.
“We are very excited about our new location in The Hague. The Netherlands not only offers a strong and stable economy, we are also particularly convinced by the country’s progressive enthusiasm for digital concepts. Accordingly, we see an optimal product-market fit with our business model and plan to strongly expand the Dutch presence in the long term,” says Dr. Josef Vollmayr, co-founder and CEO of limehome.
Furthermore, the Netherlands are regarded as a popular location for both – leisure and business travellers.. In addition to tourist attractions, also the strong economy of the country attracts business travellers, especially in the metropolitan areas. With its fully equipped serviced apartments, limehome offers accommodation for both targets in order to serve the demand and needs of its guests in the best way. In the long term, limehome plans to open approximately 5,000 units, becomingthe largest technology company specialised in serviced apartments in the Netherlands.
