Above Property® Services (APS), the industry-leading provider of innovative, scalable and flexible microservices technology designed for the global travel industry and related verticals, has announced the appointment of Ed Rabin, John Ceriale, and Richard Gray to their Board of Directors.

Ed Rabin is the former President of Hyatt Hotels, and also served as a director of PrivateBancorp, Inc., and as lead director of WMS Industries Inc. Rabin is currently on the Board of Directors of Sally Beauty Holdings (SBH NYSE) and was previously a board member of Oneida Holdings, Inc., a private corporation.

“I am incredibly excited to join the APS board and in doing so, I find myself in great company,” shares Rabin. “The hospitality industry at large is overdue for a digital overhaul, and I believe the APS infrastructure provides hoteliers with the best opportunity to innovate, evolve, and scale in a meaningful manner. The APS platform is second to none, and is specifically equipped to address all unique platform requirements across hospitality and other sectors well into the future.”

John Ceriale comes to the APS board as a leading force in the hospitality industry. He is the founder and CEO of Prospect Advisors, the hotel advisor to Blackstone Real Estate Advisors (BREA). Since creating Prospect Advisors in 1998, Ceriale has been affiliated with The Blackstone Group and a number of other high-profile real estate and management companies around the globe.

Richard Gray is the founder and former CEO of TravelClick, a company that provides state-of-the-art, cloud-based and data-driven solutions designed to maximize revenue and optimize profit. Travelclick was purchased by Amadeus in 2018. Gray also co-founded Virtual Agent Services, Inc., a customer call center enterprise specializing in travel and hospitality.

"These travel and hospitality luminaries elected to join the APS Board because they believe in the vision of the company,” shares Aaron Shepherd, Founder, and CEO of APS. “They believe in what we have accomplished with Above Property and the APS platform, and they see the opportunity, using our technology, to finally overcome the legacy past of the hospitality industry and to pave the way to a more scalable, agile future.”

Shepherd adds, “It was important for us to establish a board that encapsulated thought leadership. We will change the industry, and make the industry better. Ed, John, and Richard are highly regarded individuals whose guidance will help to refine the position of APS as the only platform that is aptly suited for the future.”
