HEI Hotels & Resorts, one of the nation's leading operators of institutionally owned full-service hotels, with a portfolio of more than 100 properties across the United States, recently announced that it has assumed management of the 317-room Renaissance Times Square. The hotel was recently acquired by Newbond and Apollo Global Management, who then tapped HEI to manage the property. Renaissance Times Square is located in the heart of Times Square, steps away from the best of New York City’s Theater District and its array of attractions.
“We are thrilled as our footprint in New York City continues to grow through this superb asset,” said HEI Hotels & Resorts CEO and Managing Partner, Anthony Rutledge. “Given the quality of the hotel and the property’s unbeatable location, HEI’s extensive management platform and repositioning expertise will further the hotel’s reputation as one of the premier places to stay in New York. We are excited to execute our business plan and take this property into its next chapter.”
Built in 1990 and renovated in 2019, Renaissance Times Square is a New York icon and one of the most photographed properties in the country. This will be HEI's 8th hotel in the New York Metropolitan Area --which includes hotels from all the major hotel brands, including Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott, and IHG -- and the 4th hotel in HEI's growing relationship with Newbond and Apollo Global Management. The property features 3,500 sq ft of meeting space and is perfectly positioned in the middle of the “Bowtie” of Times Square, providing a front row seat to the world-famous New Year’s Eve Ball Drop.
