Mews, the industry-leading hospitality cloud that has recently surpassed 5000 customers, was selected by The Chocolate on the Pillow Group for GHOTEL hotel & living Bochum, GHOTEL hotel & living Würzburg, TRIBE Baden-Baden and Mercure Zurich City.
Previously known as GHOTEL Group, the multi-brand hotel operator has several strategically located sites in German-speaking countries. The group runs the hotel projects TRIBE and the hoxton, both brands of the Accor and Ennismore joint venture.
“Just like the rest of the industry, we were struggling with recruiting experienced hotel staff,” said Jens Lehmann, COO and Managing Director at The Chocolate on the Pillow Group. “Thanks to Mews, we could simplify procedures and introduce automation where possible.”
The Chocolate on the Pillow Group plans to roll out Mews throughout the nine properties under their own brand (GHOTEL hotel & living). Having a standardized PMS across all hotels was crucial for ensuring a strongly centralized IT and digital structure.
For future growth, the group needed a highly flexible PMS that would enable them to quickly roll out new properties and implement tech on short notice after takeovers.
Custom integrations were another reason The Chocolate on the Pillow chose Mews. Through a privately built integration, they introduced a new Avatar kiosk in GHOTEL hotel & living Bochum. This time-saving check-in solution reflects The Chocolate on the Pillow’s modern vision of tech-powered hospitality.
“Digitization is our main priority – we aim to lift the burden of repetitive processes through automation,” continues Erik Florvaag, CEO and Managing Partner at The Chocolate on the Pillow Group. “Mews lets us simplify everything, from digital check-in to payments. Our employees are relieved and empowered to look after the guests more. In our opinion, that´s a good example of enabling genuine hospitality.”
For brands like TRIBE, self-service has become increasingly important. Powered by Mews, The Chocolate on the Pillow hopes to expand their self-service developments to some Ennismore and Accor properties.
“Like us, The Chocolate on the Pillow values the essential ingredients for memorable experiences: the interpersonal, the emotional and the digital,” said Matt Welle, CEO at Mews. “I love it when hoteliers use advanced hotel tech to reach impressive results while making both staff and guests happier.”
