WASHINGTON - U.S. Travel Association President and CEO Geoff Freeman issued the following statement on the Senate’s confirmation of Bryan Bedford to serve as Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA):

We congratulate Bryan Bedford on his confirmation to serve as the next Administrator of the FAA. Bedford brings more than 30 years of aviation experience—both as a pilot and President and CEO of a regional airline—to the agency at a critical time.

The U.S. Travel Association looks forward to working with Administrator Bedford, Secretary Duffy and President Trump to update our outdated air traffic control system to ensure travelers get the safest and most efficient air travel experience. With the U.S. preparing to welcome the world for major events like the 2026 FIFA World Cup, America 250 and 2028 Olympics, we're ready to partner with Administrator Bedford and the rest of the Department of Transportation to usher in the Golden Age of Travel.
