GBTA to Convene Business Travel Forums in Cities Across Australia and New Zealand

From Perth to Auckland, GBTA’s Business Travel Forums will dive into hot topics like Artificial Intelligence (AI), sustainability, mobility and the key trends reshaping business travel worldwide

GBTA will host forums in Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne, and Auckland between March and April to address industry challenges amid Australia's AUD 42.7 billion business travel market.

GBTA is kicking off a series of events in major cities across Australia and New Zealand, bringing together the business travel community to explore the most important issues shaping the sector.

From Perth to Auckland, the GBTA Business Travel Forums series will feature corporate travel managers, procurement leaders, airlines, hotels, technology providers and a range of other crucial players. As well as being unique networking opportunities, attendees can look forward to hearing expert perspectives on hot topics ranging from Artificial Intelligence to workforce mobility to business trends and what these all mean for the business travel sector.

The Forums will take place in:

  • Brisbane on 11 March

  • Perth on 18 March

  • Melbourne on 22 April

  • Auckland on 30 April

Australia is a global leader for business travel, with an estimated spend of AUD 42.7 billion* in 2025. It was the Asia Pacific region’s fifth largest market for business travel and the twelfth largest market in the world according to GBTA’s 2025 Business Travel Index.

We’re excited to kick-off our Business Travel Forum series across Australia and New Zealand. With geopolitical and trade uncertainty looming large, we feel that now is a critical time to bring business travel professionals together so we can better understand the collective challenges we face and how we can tackle them together.

For both seasoned business travel professionals and those new to the industry, these one-day events will be a prime opportunity to glean new insights and forge relationships with peers and some of the key players shaping the future of the business travel sector.
