MGM Resorts’ Community Water Investment Now Saving 7 Million Gallons Annually at Employee Homes
MGM Resorts' $500,000 employee rebate program with Southern Nevada Water Authority achieves 7 million gallons in annual household water savings.

LAS VEGAS – After two years of employee participation in a water conservation program supported by MGM Resorts International (NYSE: MGM) (“MGM Resorts” or the “Company”), the Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA) now projects approximately 7 million gallons of permanent annual water savings at employee homes across Southern Nevada. The savings stem from a $500,000 investment by MGM Resorts to enhance water conservation rebates for employees in partnership with the SNWA.

The $500,000 grant, announced on World Water Day 2024, offered enhanced water conservation rebates for MGM Resorts employees. Through participation in the program, employees implemented water-efficient upgrades at their homes, from removing grass to purchasing water-smart equipment. This has helped generate millions of gallons in projected annual water savings in perpetuity across Southern Nevada households.
The initiative reflects MGM Resorts’ broader approach to water stewardship in a water-constrained region, where long-term business resilience is closely tied to responsible resource management. By investing in both operational efficiency and conservation efforts beyond its resorts, the Company reinforces its commitment to regional sustainability while demonstrating its environmental values to employees, encouraging them to be active participants in protecting the community they call home.
MGM Resorts will continue promoting the enhanced rebate opportunity to its employees as part of its ongoing water stewardship strategy. With funding available through June 2027, the company aims to expand participation and further reduce residential water demand while strengthening shared responsibility for conservation across Southern Nevada.
