The Hague, the Netherlands — Hotelschool The Hague has been awarded an international QS 5-Star rating, following independent assessment across multiple dimensions of institutional quality, including teaching, employability, facilities, academic development, and internationalisation. The school becomes the first hospitality business school in the Netherlands to hold this rating.

The recognition adds to a quality record that already includes a #7 position in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026 for Hospitality and Leisure Management, #1 in the Netherlands, and accreditations from NVAO, ECA, and THE-ICE. Together, these independent assessments offer the hospitality industry a comprehensive picture of what HTH graduates bring to the workplace.

What the rating means for the industry

For hospitality employers, the QS 5-Star rating provides independent verification of what many already know through direct experience: HTH graduates arrive work-ready.

Each year, hundreds of HTH students complete international internships across the globe, entering our beloved industry before they even graduate. By the time they finish their degree, they bring not only academic grounding but real operational experience, international outlook, inter-cultural awareness, strategic mindset, and the professional maturity the industry increasingly demands.

The employability dimension of the QS Stars assessment evaluates the strength of a school's industry connections, graduate career outcomes, and employer reputation. HTH's Employer Reputation score in the 2026 QS World University Rankings by subject in Hospitality and Leisure Management, reached 85.4 out of 100, reflecting the depth of its relationships with hospitality organisations worldwide.

This QS 5-Star rating is the result of everything our community brings to HTH every single day. Our staff, lecturers, instructors, researchers, our students, our alumni, and industry partners who believe in what we are building here. Rankings and accreditations are external confirmation of something we already know from the inside: that this is a place where quality is not a target but a habit and strong conviction. I am incredibly proud of everyone who contributed to this across our two campuses.
