Opened within weeks of one another this June, the two hotels from Blue Flag Capital and Collared Martin Hospitality extend the Faraway brand from its New England island origins to two of America’s most iconic leisure destinations.
Blue Flag Capital, in partnership with in-house management company Collared Martin Hospitality, have announced the openings of Faraway Sag Harbor and Faraway Jackson Hole. What began as a collection of beloved island hotels on Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard is now reaching new shores and new peaks. With the openings of Faraway Sag Harbor and Faraway Jackson Hole, Blue Flag Capital and Collared Martin Hospitality are expanding Faraway Hotels beyond New England for the first time, bringing the brand’s distinctive approach to storytelling, design, and hospitality to the Hamptons waterfront and the American West.
Faraway Sag Harbor
Known for thoughtfully reimagining beloved properties, Blue Flag Capital has quickly built a loyal following through its layered design, sensory experiences, vibrant food and beverage programming, and meaningful local connections. With the additions of Sag Harbor and Jackson Hole, the Faraway Hotels brand now stretches from the Northeast coast to the American West, introducing its distinctive hospitality experience to two destinations united by a strong sense of culture, character, and soul.
From the beginning, our goal with Faraway was never to create a formula, but rather a collection of hotels that each tell a unique story about the place they inhabit. Sag Harbor and Jackson Hole are incredibly different destinations, but both share the qualities we look for—strong identities, rich histories, and communities that care deeply about where they live. We’re excited to bring the Faraway brand to each market in a way that feels authentic to its surroundings
Jason Brown, Co-Founder and CEO of Blue Flag Capital
In the Hamptons, Faraway Sag Harbor introduces a thoughtful reimagining of the iconic Baron’s Cove, transforming the waterfront property into a 67-room hotel inspired by the village’s maritime history and whaling heritage. Designed in collaboration with Jenny Bukovec Studio, the interiors are guided by an Oceanic Revival concept, blending sea-toned palettes, richly layered textures, and residential-style gathering spaces that reflect the movement and light of the harbor.
At the center of the experience is Zagara, an Amalfi Coast-inspired restaurant led by Executive Chef and Culinary Director Jarad McCarroll. Conceived as a destination for both guests and locals, Zagara pairs Mediterranean-inspired cuisine with a lively social atmosphere, extending from the dining room to an outdoor terrace with sunset views and private dining space. Additional amenities include a heated outdoor pool with cabanas, a new padel court, spa treatment rooms seasonally operated by ONDA Beauty, a fitness center, and a collection of indoor and outdoor gathering spaces that anchor the property as a new social hub for Sag Harbor.
Faraway Jackson Hole
In the heart of Wyoming’s Teton Village, Faraway Jackson Hole offers a new perspective on one of America’s most celebrated outdoor playgrounds. Building on the legacy from the former Snake River Lodge, the property offers a contemporary mountain retreat designed for year-round adventure. Featuring 90 guestrooms and suites, 48 residences, wellness amenities including an indoor/outdoor pool, hot tub, and sauna, and direct access to Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, the hotel introduces a new boutique hospitality experience to one of the country’s premier outdoor destinations.
Designed in collaboration with Workshop/APD and Jenny Bukovec Studio, Faraway Jackson Hole blends alpine influences and Western heritage through a “Wild Western Homestead” design concept that layers natural materials, warm textures, and residential details throughout the property. Sure Hand, the hotel’s all-day restaurant and bar, anchors the guest experience, serves locally inspired cuisine and craft cocktails in a lively gathering space overlooking the surrounding mountains. Later this summer, the property will offer curated adventure excursions in partnership with Backcountry Safaris, including horseback riding, whitewater rafting, and tours of Grand Teton & Yellowstone National Parks.
What excites us most is that neither property looks or feels like the other. Every design decision, restaurant concept, and guest experience was developed specifically for its destination. We believe that hospitality is most meaningful when it reflects the culture, history, and character of a place, and these openings are a reflection of that philosophy
Brad Guidi, Co-Founder and Chief Development Officer of Blue Flag Capital
The openings of Faraway Sag Harbor and Faraway Jackson Hole are part of a broader period of growth for Blue Flag Capital and Collared Martin Hospitality. Alongside the expansion of the Faraway brand, the company has also recently debuted Hotel Corduroy in Montauk and later this summer will open Oyster Estate in Greenport, further establishing a collection of design-forward, destination-driven properties across Long Island’s East End. These hotels add to Blue Flag Capital and Collared Martin Hospitality's existing collection of boutique properties on Nantucket, including Blue Iris, Brass Lantern Inn, and Life House Nantucket.
Faraway Jackson Hole
Together with Faraway Nantucket and Faraway Martha’s Vineyard, the new openings establish Faraway as a growing collection of destination-driven hotels spanning some of the country’s most beloved leisure markets. As Blue Flag continues to expand, the company remains focused on thoughtfully restoring and reimagining properties with strong local identities while creating experiences that resonate with both travelers and the communities they serve.
