BWH Hotels GB has expanded its portfolio of independent hotels in key London and country escape locations.

The latest additions to join the group’s portfolio are Forest Lodge Hotel, BW Signature Collection by Best Western, in Lyndhurst, New Forest, Best Western Chiswick Rooms in West London and Sure Hotel Newark in the West Midlands.

The latest signings add a further 100 bedrooms to the group’s growing portfolio, taking the total number of bedrooms added through new hotel signings over the past 12 months to 291.

The group has welcomed six new hotels during this period, reinforcing its presence across key leisure and corporate destinations.

With a strong pipeline of opportunities, including several properties nearing contract completion and expected to activate in the coming months, the group is on track to significantly accelerate its growth and double its new signings for the year.

Recent additions to the portfolio are already delivering strong commercial results, with Royal Maritime Hotel generating close to £50,000 in new business during its first month since joining BWH Hotels GB, exceeding their budget expectations from day one.

BWH Hotels GB represents Great Britain’s largest group of independent hotels, including WorldHotels and Best Western and welcomes the hotels into its portfolio of more than 230 hotels.

We have already experienced the commercial benefits of working with BWH Hotels through another property, and have been consistently impressed by the brand's ability to drive revenue and generate high-quality business.

With that proven track record behind us, joining BW Signature Collection by Best Western felt like a natural fit for Forest Lodge Hotel. The brand offers the perfect balance of commercial strength and operational flexibility, enabling independent hotels to retain their character while benefiting from the support of a global hospitality network. The team is excited to embark on this next chapter and we look forward to working in partnership with BWH Hotels to accelerate growth, attract new guests and deliver strong commercial performance throughout the remainder of 2026.

Tim Rumney, CEO of BWH Hotels GB, said:

Independent hoteliers are under immense pressure from rising operating costs, growing distribution challenges and an increasingly competitive marketplace.

Many owners don't want a traditional franchise model that dictates every aspect of the guest experience. Instead, they're reassessing how they compete, looking for the scale, distribution and loyalty benefits of a major brand while retaining the character and independence of their hotels.

Our latest hotel sign ups reflect this growing demand for flexible affiliation models that combine commercial strength with operational freedom. Their owners recognise the value of a hands-on partner that can help unlock new revenue opportunities, drive long-term growth and provide expert support, while allowing them to remain firmly in control of their business.

Forest Lodge brings 36 bedrooms to the Signature Collection by Best Western and is located in the heart of Lyndhurst, often described as the gateway to the New Forest National Park.

Chiswick Rooms adds 33 bedrooms to the Best Western brand in a prime West London location.

Close to major transport links, the hotel offers business travellers access to central London in just 25 minutes and Heathrow Airport in 20 minutes.

The property recently completed a refurbishment of all bedrooms spending circa £500,000 in 2025, further enhancing its guest offering.

Sure Hotel Newark brings 30 bedrooms to the Signature Collection by Best Western and is located in the heart of Newark-on-Trent, within easy reach of the town's historic market square and Newark Castle.

Hotels joining BWH Hotels benefit from a global loyalty programme with more than 60 million Rewards members, powerful marketing support and distribution channels, while retaining the individuality that defines independent hospitality.
