SYDNEY – IHG Hotels & Resorts is building on its long-standing  commitment to food rescue and community impact, bringing back its annual Stay for Good campaign across Australia and New Zealand this September in support of OzHarvest and  KiwiHarvest.

The campaign returns following a significant milestone for IHG and OzHarvest, with the  partnership surpassing one million meals delivered to people in need in Australia earlier  this year.

Throughout September, IHG will donate $1 from every room night stayed on new and  existing direct bookings at participating IHG Hotels & Resorts across Australia and New  Zealand to OzHarvest and KiwiHarvest. Every $1 donated can provide two meals to people  in need, while also helping divert one kilogram of food waste from landfill.

Stay for Good forms part of IHG’s broader, year-round partnerships with OzHarvest and  KiwiHarvest, which bring together IHG hotels, colleagues and guests to support food rescue  and communities in need.

The campaign comes as demand for food relief continues to rise. OzHarvest’s 2026  Frontline Report found more than 350,000 people are seeking food support each month  across the charities surveyed, with more than 74,000 people being turned away each month  because there is not enough food available. Seventy per cent of frontline charities reported  an increase in demand over the past year, while 36% of people seeking food relief are doing  so for the first time.

Surpassing one million meals with OzHarvest this year was an important milestone for our partnership and a testament to what our hotels, colleagues and guests can achieve together.

Stay for Good gives our hotel network another opportunity to build on that impact. With demand for food relief continuing to grow, we’re proud to once again support the vital work of OzHarvest and KiwiHarvest throughout September and help make a meaningful difference in the communities where we operate.

Matt Tripolone, Managing Director, Australasia & Pacific, IHG Hotels & Resorts

We can't wait to see what the Stay For Good campaign achieves this year! Our recent Frontline report showed the need for food relief in Australia is continuing to rise, so it’s a fantastic partnership and through IHG's support we've been able to provide one million meals for people in need. At a time when more people are accessing food relief for the first time, the support of IHG is essential. Huge gratitude!!

Ronni Kahn, Founder & Visionary-in-Residence, OzHarvest

IHG’s support for OzHarvest extends beyond Stay for Good and includes food rescue,  fundraising, colleague volunteering and support for the Nourish program, which helps young  people facing barriers to education and employment gain hospitality training, life skills and  pathways into employment.

IHG has partnered with OzHarvest in Australia since 2018, while its partnership with  KiwiHarvest in New Zealand began in 2023.

Stay for Good will run from 1 to 30 September 2026 across 59 participating IHG Hotels &  Resorts in Australia and New Zealand.
