Aroundtown leases two hotels at Berlin’s Alexanderplatz to Leonardo Hotels for 20 years

Leonardo Hotels Central Europe takes over operations of the former H2 and H4 hotels, comprising a total of 624 rooms and suites in a prime central Berlin location

Aroundtown has signed long-term leases with Leonardo Hotels for two hotels in a prime central location on Berlin's Alexanderplatz. Leonardo Hotels is operating the former H2 and H4 hotels under new names: the former H2 Hotel is now the Leonardo Smart Berlin Alexanderplatz, and the former H4 Hotel is now the Hotel Berlin Alexanderplatz by Leonardo Hotels. As part of taking over the leases, Leonardo Hotels extended each of them to a term of 20 years. The 20-year leases for the two Berlin hotels strengthen the trusted, strategic partnership between Aroundtown and Leonardo Hotels, which already includes the long-term lease of the Badischer Hof in Baden-Baden.

Both hotels are located directly on Alexanderplatz, one of Berlin's most important transport hubs, with direct connections to numerous destinations across the city. The Hotel Berlin Alexanderplatz by Leonardo Hotels has 336 rooms and suites and caters primarily to business travellers as well as conference and event guests. Its facilities include a restaurant, a bar, and a gym and sauna area. More than ten event rooms with a combined capacity of over 700 people round out the offering.

The Leonardo Smart Berlin Alexanderplatz has 288 rooms and is aimed primarily at leisure travellers on shorter stays in the capital. Among other options, four-bed rooms are available for groups and families. In addition to a breakfast restaurant, the hotel offers bike rental and parking. Together, the two hotels provide a range of accommodation and usage options that appeal to different target groups at a central Berlin location.
