Leonardo Hotels is expanding its German portfolio by a total of 735 rooms following the takeover of three former Revo hotels in Munich, Hanover and Braunschweig respectively. Whereas the hotels in Munich and Hanover will bolster the existing presence of the company in these cities, Leonardo Hotels is now set to be represented in Braunschweig for the very first time.
These three hotels encompass different profiles and contrasting business environments – a large-scale conference and events venue in Munich, an inner-city location in Hanover and an entirely new venture in Braunschweig. This diversity is a good match for our approach of developing a network which extends across various locations and provides a range of hotel services. We would like to offer our heartfelt thanks to our partners, Real I.S., Deka Immobilien and Swiss Life, for their cooperation and for the trust they have shown.

With Leonardo Hotels, we have secured not only an experienced operator with a strong credit rating, but also ensured a virtually seamless transition thanks to the excellent cooperation.

Strengthening of established destinations
Leonardo Hotels will take over the former HYPERION Hotel in Munich, which will operate in future as the Leonardo Royal Munich Bavaria Towers. It will become the twelfth hotel in the Bavarian capital to be run by the Leonardo Group and will increase capacity in the city by 341 modern and spacious rooms and studios. Six meeting rooms extending over an area of around 700 square metres of conference and events space will be able to accommodate up to 290 people. The facilities on offer also include a restaurant with front cooking, a bar and lounge, a gym, more than 130 parking spaces and charging stations for electric vehicles.
The hotel is situated in the Bogenhausen Tor complex near Prinzregentenplatz. Munich city centre is approximately four kilometres away and can be accessed by tram in approximately 15 minutes. The Munich Trade Centre can be reached by car in under 10 minutes.
In Hanover, the former Intercity Hotel Hannover will complement the group’s existing portfolio in its new guise of the Leonardo Hannover City Center. This new acquisition takes the number of Leonardo Hotels in the Lower Saxony capital to a total of four. The Leonardo Hannover City Center is a 14-storey hotel located directly to the east of the main railway station. 220 rooms with modern furnishings and fittings are enhanced by a restaurant, an outdoor terrace and a bar. Five meeting rooms, three of which can be combined, are available for the use of conference guests.
A new location in northern Germany
The Leonardo Braunschweig City Center represents Leonardo Hotels’ first foray into the city. The hotel features 174 air-conditioned guest rooms, all of which boast flat-screen TVs, desks and safes. The four meeting rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art conference technology and also offer air conditioning. There are dining and culinary options in the form of a restaurant and bar. This former Intercity Hotel is located right next to the main railway station and provides easy access to the city centre and the wider region. Numerous sights such as the historic Castle Square, the Cathedral of Saint Blaise, Brunswick Palace and the St. Magnus Quarter are all within easy reach.
